Rally Practice

Bug has gone to watch the Pats with John at a friend's house. So I practiced Rally with Ike in the front yard. I got some of the behaviors I witnessed at our one-and-only Rally Trial - he was slower to respond and watching to make sure no terrorists creeped up on us. However, in general I was heartened. He had no problem with down-stay-walk around your dog or halt-stay-walk around your dog. I did notice his halts were a bit off, but his fronts were very nice. And he was VERY happy to be playing.

I think Ike would LOVE a job with Homeland Security - although I think the rate of false alarms would go up!

ROFL about Homeland Security. Good boy Ike!

Are you going to go to the Emma Parson's Shaping class?

Giggles at Ike. Tom would also do well at Homeland Security. Though, a lot more male canines would be investigated than ever before in the history...

I am undecided - I haven't signed up for it yet. I might now that Rally has switched to the weekend again. I find two nights of classes a week a lot!

How about you?

I'd love to do a class. Not sure if that would be my first choice but the time is good. But I'm trying to change my major at school and if I do I will have to make up a ton of work and will not add anything to my plate. So I doubt that I will be doing it.

Just checked the Courteous canine website and they have: November 4th Wednesday Clicks and Tricks @ 7:30pm in Westport and Cautious Canine on Mondays. Hmmm...
