Swimming and Acupuncture

Just a quick post. I was sick earlier this week and did not make it to class last night. We did have a very nice Easter weekend and got in multiple long walks in the lovely weather.

Bug swam for the first time at PT this week and, figures, I forgot my camera/Flip. He looked so sharp in the flourescent yellow life jacket! Bug did NOT think it was the greatest thing ever. He was stressed - more so when he was swimming toward the wall than toward where he entered the pool. None-the-less I am really proud of him and his bravery. We also did more under water treadmill. This week Bug did 8.5 minutes at 1/mph. He did a great job.

Today Bug had acupuncture and Anne could not stop saying how great he felt. She said before he felt like "guitar strings tied to rocks," he was so tight. Not anymore. HOORAY!! She said she has never had a dog who was as tight as he was improve so quickly. She thinks it is the mutliple modalities that are the trick (traditional PT, chiro, and acupuncture). I agree whole heartedly!!

Yay Bug. That awesome that he is showing great signs of improvement!

Oreo had his first acupuncture yesterday. I'm going to try and blog about it later.

Yay, glad he's doing better! He's had an iliopsoas injury, right? I don't know much about it, but I've read that it's often mistaken for a CCL injury. Another possibility for Wall-e. You have a lot of great ideas on your blog for physical therapy.

Thanks for your comments :) I'm going to call the vet this weekend and I hope that we can get an appointment for next week.
