I've dealt with TBD three times in my various dogs, one of whom could not walk at all when he went in and all of them showed significant improvement in aches and pains and limping within 24 hours. Sounds like something else is going on (and I never had a pee problem).

Fingers crossed for good news.

Mango MommaDexterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09238751458587219022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7451055482896683277.post-52501169867657243862010-08-25T21:56:50.090-04:002010-08-25T21:56:50.090-04:00I hope Ike is back to normal very soon! If he's no better by morning I'd get him to the vet. Dogs with back pain will hold urine a long time since they have to use muscles closely associated with the back to urinate. We will continue our prayers for Ike to make a speedy recovery!Crazy Cardinesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07160988395242737307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7451055482896683277.post-28473815252720226232010-08-25T19:12:02.526-04:002010-08-25T19:12:02.526-04:00Sounds like he may have pulled something in agilit...Sounds like he may have pulled something in agility? If this is the case, getting him on prednisone, sooner rather than later could be critical to his recovery if there is some nerve damage. (Speaking from experience with my little Pembroke.)

Not sure I'd wait much longer to seek veterinary opinion. If he is in that much pain getting something to relieve it (tramadol?) seems the Elbeepemhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13657680221255625408noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7451055482896683277.post-34729796942173269562010-08-25T18:05:19.410-04:002010-08-25T18:05:19.410-04:00My dogs have both had Erlichia, both had RMSF, and...My dogs have both had Erlichia, both had RMSF, and Wilson also had Lyme more than once. I've never seen such extreme symptoms as Ike has, thank goodness. Fatigue seemed to be the worst of it. The doxy helped but it took several days, definitely not overnight.

And, lucky me, I've had Lyme the last 3 summers, and got RMSF this summer! Never had any symptoms at all from RMSF, butTarynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16523449106100926340noreply@blogger.com
