As Katrin posted a few weeks ago, we are cutting the Corgi boys' toenails on a weekly basis because they are both so awful about it.
I bring a super high value treat (today was roast chicken) and Katrin does the clipping (she's faster than I am). Monty has improved 110%. No evil, nasty snarking at his mum. Today Katrin was able to trim the hair between his pads AND worked on him putting his feetie up on the grooming table of his own volition.
The Bug on the other hand.....Katrin says he is getting better. I do think he is a little less squirmy and panicky, but not much. It is going to be a very long road with that one! ; D

He is getting better!!
And yeah, Mont doesn't snark me anymore, just YOU! for the treats! LOL
Ha...Yes, I have a lovely blood blister on my hand. At least he didn't break the skin. I know he is a little sharkie, so it is my "bad." :D
I should have you two just TRY to do Luther's nails...
I don't do toes on the table personally.... I've heard it can make them associate the unpleasant experience of getting their toes done with being on the table... dont' want that! :) Chance is MY tough one... I literally have one leg (mine) over his front half near his neck, and one leg over his back half, in front of his rear legs. It's a challenge. But for heaven sakes, it's not like he hasn't had them done weekly since he came to live with me OVER A YEAR AGO! Keep up the good work ladies... they're turds about their toes! :(
hahaha - it sounds like the Bug's aversion to nail clipping is normal (based on Monty, Luther, and Chance). DRAT!
